Home ❯All Definitions ❯Unit ❯Microliter (μL) Unit Definition
The microliter is a multiple of the unit liter (L) for volume. The International System of Units (SI) defines the prefix micro (μ) as a factor of one millionth or 10-6 or 0.000001. Per this definition, one microliter is 10-6 liters. The microliter is represented by the symbol μL.
